Welcome to Ludlow's! Experience our unspoiled woods and waters! Our families have been on Lake Vermilion for over 90 years and we are second generation resort hosts. Our interest is to provide the blend of privacy, activity, quality and comfort that makes Ludlow's your destination time and time again. Please join us! We want to introduce you to our 1,200 miles of shoreline, 365 islands, and over 40,000 acres of clean, clear waters. Vermilion lies between the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and Voyagers National Park. Night Owl Mark's father built Night Owl when he was 19 and wanted to live in the north country! Northside is our most spacious three bedroom, two bath cabin with two fireplaces, its own private sauna, and a washer-dryer. Accommodations 8. Bayside Mark's parents built Bayside for their retirement. They liked the seclusion and setting next to a small bay teeming with waterfowl, beaver and mink. Three bedrooms and two baths. Northern Lights The design goal in Northern Lights was to have screened porches and decks off both the bedrooms and living room. You will enjoy the results of this three level structure. Baybreeze Baybreeze is ideal for a small family or couples. One bedroom upstairs with a cantilevered second story deck. The main floor has a roll-out queen-size bed. Two baths. Accommodates 4. Stardust Relax on your screened porch situated fifteen feet from the water. Great sunsets. Four bedrooms, two baths. Accommodates 8. Twilight Cedar interior. Beamed cathedral ceiling. Twilight is situated among towering Red Pine and ten feet from the water. Five bedrooms, 4 baths. Accommodates 10. Daybreak A massive beamed living room. Great screened porch. Southeastern exposure for sun filled rooms. Three bedrooms, two baths. The deck sits on the water's edge. Accommodates 7. Southshore Southshore is actually two cabins. A main home with two bedrooms and two baths plus a "guest cottage" on the waterfront with its own bath. A private swimming beach, sauna with washer and dryer and large dock for sunning make this a favorite. Accommodates 7. Evergreen The original log structure dates back to 1922. Mark's parents refurbished this cabin and used it as their winter retirement home to be accessible by car. Evergreen sits among towering blue spruce over 150 years old just steps from its own private beach. Two bedrooms, two baths, one with a whirlpool. Accommodates 6. Wakemup Spacious three-bedroom, three-bath cabin with screened porch. Sofa sleeper. Washer-dryer. Great views of Ludlow's Island. Expansive yard and beach. Accommodates 8. Balsam Massive natural stone fireplace. Large three-bedroom, two-bath cabin sharing a beach and front yard with Wakemup. These two cabins make a great spot for a family reunion. Washer-dryer. Accommodates 8. Fishing! Renowned as a premiere Minnesota walleye and northern pike lake, Vermilion is also one of the best small and large mouth bass lakes in the state. Our on-going stocking of walleye pike (since 1968) and voluntary "selective harvest" assures continued populations. And recent stockings of Muskellunge add an exciting dimension.
