On November 24, 1949, Squaw Valley USA opened with one double chairlift and accommodations for fifty. This season, we celebrate our Golden Anniversary. Over the last 50 years, Squaw Valley USA has played host to the VIII Olympic Games, developed the world's most advanced lift network and greeted guests from around the world. Today, Squaw Valley remains one of the most beautiful resorts you'll ever visit.

Squaw Valley USA is a unique winter playground with 4,000 skiable acres spread over six peaks. It is accessed by the most advanced lift system in the world, which includes a Cable Car and North America's only Funitel. Endless snowfall, classic California sunshine and diverse terrain, from the tamest to toughest, make Squaw Valley the perfect winter destination.

And it keeps getting better. This season, we've added two new high-speed six-pacs to our lift network, which combined with two modern mid-mountain complexes, thirty total lifts and a wide variety of base facilities, make Squaw Valley one of the most advanced ski resorts in the world.

In Squaw Valley's Base Village, experience our outdoor sundecks, unique restaurants, lively nightspots, grand hotels and mountain lodges. Enjoy the excitement of world class ski and snowboard events. Squaw Valley's Village offers something special for the entire family both on and off the slopes.
