We meet friendly villagers and hike to ancient ruins that recall the splendor of classical Greece and Rome. We also enjoy the extraordinary ruins at Ephesus and the Byzantine and Islamic wonders of Istanbul - the crossroads of Asia and Europe, one of the world's grandest cities.
