 Day 1 Berlin
 Germany's charming capital, Berlin is based amidst the confluence of several rivers and is an exciting metropolis filled with tremendous history.

Day 2 Berlin
 The Berlin Wall, which encircled the city for 103 miles, was destroyed in 1989, but reminders such as Checkpoint Charlie and the Brandenburg Gate remain. Also see the Reichstag (German Parliament Building), Berlin Cathedral and Museum Island. During your free time, visit Charlottenburg Palace or one of the many culture-filled museums. Or go shopping along Kurfurstendamm, where you will encounter Europe's largest department store, KaDeWe.

Day 3 Berlin, Potsdam, Magdeburg
 Located on the southwestern border of Berlin, Potsdam is a beautiful town and home to many architectural masterpieces. The charming Cecilienhof Palace is where Allied leaders met during the 1945 Potsdam Conference. Another landmark is the 18th century Sans Souci Palace, a perfect example of German rococo architecture.

Although heavy WWII bombing nearly destroyed the city, Magdeburg is a traditional German town. Its past can be traced through noted monuments including Magdeburg Cathedral, the ruins of St. Johannis Church and the 1240 Magdeburger Reiter, Germany's oldest equestrian statue.

Day 4 Dessau
 This art and cultural center is the port town for our tour of Worlitz Park. Considered Germany's first landscaped park, the English-style gardens were inspired by Prince Franz Anhalt-Dessau's visits to England. The beautiful grounds surround the 18th century Worlitz Palace, a classical structure fashioned after an English country home.

Day 5 Wittenberg & Torgau
 A spiritual and cultural center, Wittenberg is the "Birthplace of the Reformation". Follow the footsteps of Martin Luther King to discover manoy of the town's landmarks associated with the Reformation including Luther's House, the Castle Church where Luther posted his 95 These and St. Marien's Church, where he preached.

Lying on the banks of the Elbe, Torgau boast amazing examples of renaissance houses. The fortified Hartenfels Castle dominates the city from its riverside location. Another noted landmark is the Schlosskirche (Castle Church), the first-ever Protestant Church.

Day 6 Meissen
 Surrounded by idyllic wine villages, Meissen dates back more than 1,000 years and is overlooked by Albrechtsburg Castle. World-famous for its fine porcelain production since the early 1700's, Meissenware is composed of china clay and potter's earth, completely molded by hand and marked by the trademarked blue crossed swords.

Day 7 Dresden
 Prior to WWII destruction, Dresden was called "Florence on the Elbe" for its wonderful art treasures and beautiful baroque architecture, Situated in the Saxony region, landmarks include the 18th century Zwinger Palace, Frauenkirche (Church of our Lady) and the Albertinum, which houses a collection of the area's finest art and is home to the Saxon monarchs' dazzling crown jewels.

Day 8 Saxon Switzerland
 A breathtaking stretch on the Elbe, Saxon Switzerland is comprised of the rugged cliffs of the Elbsandstein Mountains. Stretching from Dresden to the German-Czech border, this bizarre sandstone rock formation rises out of thick forests and produces narrow valleys and deep gorges. Best views can be seen on foot or from the Bastei, 200 meters above the Elbe.

Day 9 Decin & Prague
 After you cross the Czech border, you will encounter Decin, a quaint town founded in the 12th century containing many renaissance and baroque dwellings. Looming above the banks is a baroque castle that once belonged to dukes of Thun-Hohenstein.

Celebrating more than 1,000 years of history, Prague is the Czech Republic's charming capital.Nicknamed "Cityof a Hundred Spires", the city has many noted monuments and churches.

 Rich in art, architecture, music and literature, Prague is one of Europe's leading cultural centers. Visit landmarks including Old Town Square; Tyl Theater, where Mozart conducted Don Giovanni; and the Town Hall's astonishing 15th century astronomical clock. Other highlights include Hradcany castle towering high above the Vlata River and the 14th century statue-lined Charles Bridge.
